The Spyderco Caly3 is an evolution of our popular Calypso folder. True to the heritage of the Calypso 1 and 2, it offers exceptional ergonomics that make it feel like a natural extension of the hand. its scientifically-designed handle profile features stunning polished carbon fiber scales over a sturdy framework of skeletonized stainless steel liners. Its leaf-shaped blade is constructed of three layers of laminated steel. The core is ZDP-189, an extraordinary steel that contains 3% carbon for exceptional hardness and edge retention. It is sandwiched between two layers of 420J2 stainless steel that provide increased strength and corrosion resistance. Like a fine Samurai sword, the boundary between these layers is visible near the blade edge–a reminder that you are cutting with the very best!
