@MrWer1138 Hey man, I’m glad you came out on top. Yeah the non-lethal options with this knife are great. It’s always great when guys with life experience like you comment, I teach self defense and I have several subscribers who are bouncers, so they know what’s it can be like out there. Training is vital.

@WeAllJuggleKnives I found myself in a life and death situation once and used a knife in a non lethal way and survivived, the police even told me ut would have been justifiable to kill the guy if I had done so but my point here is that I had that option and used it and I dont have to live with knowing I took a mans life.If you dont want to loose train train train…….

@805Shogun Lol, well to be honest, if a threat is not serious enough for me to use the blade, I am likely just to walk away rather than fight at all. But, the less lethal techniques are of a lot of interest to many of my subscribers such as the bouncers, security guards, and LEOs, so I like to mention those techniques for them. ~Sensei Israel

Honest question man, wouldn’t a better pain compliance method be to use the actual blade? Just pressing the blade into them I think would make them comply a lot quicker. If your in a situation where you would need to stop someone I think the last thing in someone’s mind would be use the guard to apply pressure.

Good review. Sad that the desert-knives don´t come in plain-edge, I like that colour.

pillemannen @ 8:23 am #

Aus 6 is NOT so very good.

SuperGhillie1 @ 8:46 am #

i actually prefer combo edge, it can be very useful

CuriouserNCuriouser @ 9:08 am #

The CRKT black-handled Hammond Cruiser is also available with a combo-edge. I have one.

LastDEF @ 9:14 am #

@WeAllJuggleKnives Thanks man!

WeAllJuggleKnives @ 9:23 am #

@LastDEF Hmm, just tested it on the slash pocket of some sweats. Yes, it can wave open kind of like an Emerson – if you press it against the back of your pocket and pull it out fast. ~Sensei Israel

LastDEF @ 9:56 am #

Does the thumb ramp one wave open? -Vincent

Excellent, I’ve been eyeing some of the older CRKT models like these so great timing! I wish the tan Desert Cruiser came in plain edge, I like the look of the thumb ramp on that one. Some are complaining about the AUS 6 steel; I wonder how bad can it possibly be…I was also considering the CRKT Ryan or Kasper models. I seem more drawn to the older CRKT’s than the newer ones for some reason. Thanks again for another cool vid. :)

@SuperGhillie1 The Desert scale ones are a light tan, and look pretty nice, they have honeycomb texturing. All the blades are a light grey bead blasted finish, however the Iraqi Freedom model has a nitride coating over that, which is I’d say a translucent brown coating over the grey. ~Sensei Israel

SuperGhillie1 @ 10:32 am #

i think i might get the desert blade one. what is your opinion on the colors of the blade and handle scales? are they brownish tan? because in the video it looks kind of orangey.

PavlovSandor @ 11:32 am #

i dont like zytel handles very much. aus 6. boo!!!! im getting back into combo edges. thats where i started. full circle. i lke that big ass thumb ramp. those other two have thumb ramp envy. bigger belly. must be the middle aged man model.

bobsuruncle789 @ 11:38 am #

Wish id seen this earlier! Iv got a sog trident tanto and the 3.75 inch size is perfect for edc and tactical as you said except it costs 4x more than the hammond cruiser. Also the zytel handles get all slick with use. If only cold steel made a 3.75 recon 1, it would be the perfect knife imo.

Great video Israel these knives feel great in the grip and the flipper is a nice feature.
